Carolyn E. Beall

Carolyn E. Beall, age 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Versailles, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. Born June 24, 1936, she was the daughter of Willard and Octavia (Smith) Beall.

Carolyn received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Michigan State University. At a time when it was uncommon for women to work professionally with computers, she was employed as a computer programmer for several companies, as well as for the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Carolyn appreciated beauty, classical music, played bridge regularly and was a member of the congregation of Unity of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.

Survivors include one sister, Arlene Herndon of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one half-sister, Margaret Beall of Okemos, Michigan; three nieces: Hilary Beall of New York, New York, Arlene Giuliani of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Carol Giuliani of Avon, Colorado; and two nephews: David Herndon of Pittsburgh and Jim Giuliani of West Bloomfield, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Frances Giuliani; two brothers: Waverly Beall and Dale Beall; one half-brother, Wesley Beall; and one nephew, John Giuliani.

Memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announced. Online condolences may be made at lytlefuneralhomes.com. The Main Street Chapel of Lytle Funeral Homes, Madison, is in charge of the arrangements.
