The old tune “The wheels on the bus go round and round” found appropriateness as the SC Pacers came a callin’ to battle the JCD Eagles in ORVC conference varsity baseball action on Monday, May 16. It followed by the cliche of “And then the wheels fell off” also rang the bell of merit as JCD’s strong start came to a screeching threat of becoming a loss, despite early positive efforts that had been afforded. However, starting Eagle senior pitcher Tyler Huff and teammates applied the brakes in time to contain the Pacer attack for an 8-7 victory, at the end of the 6 and a half innings of ORVC conference competition.
