25th Annual Ripley Co. Chamber 5K Walk/Run held

The 8 a.m. Saturday, June 25, onset to the 25th Annual Ripley County Chamber of Commerce 5K Walk/Run on the Versailles square found clear skies and warm temps with a slight breeze, en route to a hot summer day. A total of 78 energetic competitors ventured out for the competitive morning jaunt around Versailles, earning ribbons and medals. Results were officially tabulated by Stuart Road Racing.

By 9:30 the awards had been presented and many participants were off to one of the many events going on for the remainder of the day, be it on the Square for the Versailles Legion sponsored Car Show, the Versailles Lions Club Chicken BBQ dinner, a visit to the Farmer’s Market or a trip over to the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood to take in the Annual Farm Club festivities. Some of the winners in specific age groups are pictured on pages 5 and 6 of the Osgood Journal.
