Donald Chase McMeans

Donald Chase McMeans, 39, of Versailles, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 near Versailles. He was born at Lampasas, Texas on January 16, 1977, the son of Donald and Darla Hinds Clark. He was married to De Ann Webb on December 19, 1998 and she survives.

Other survivors include his mother, Darla Clark of Burnet, Texas; his son, Chance McMeans and daughter, Peyton McMeans both at home; father and mother-in-law, Ed and Marilyn Webb of Correct; two brothers, Michael (Tiffany) Clark of Burnet, Texas and David (Stephanie) Clark of Temple, Texas; two sisters, Misty Lewis and Kaitlin Clark both of Burnet, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. McMeans had earned an associate’s degree in accounting and was currently working as an electrician with the IBEW Local 71. In his spare time Chase enjoyed hunting and fishing.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 20 at 7 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 6 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Bridge of Hope Youth Group in care of the funeral home. Also, a fund for the McMeans children has been established at Fifth-Third Bank.


Esther M. “Lows” Washnock

Esther M. “Lows” Washnock, 88, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Graveside service will be Thursday September 15, at 12 p.m. at Hogan Hill Cemetery, Aurora. Memorials may be made to Ripley Crossing or Hope Baptist Church. Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan, is entrusted with arrangements.
