Milan Indians go up 5-0 before losses to Batesville and Morristown

The Milan Indian Varsity Boys Basketball team captured five straight victories with the addition of the South Decatur Cougar and the Waldron Mohawk wins from their December 8 & 9 double header weekend. As host, the tribe closed the door on the visiting South Decatur CougarVarsity squad with a 31 point advantage on Friday night by a final count of Milan 75-44.

Saturday hardwood action found the Indians on the road to Waldron High School to face the hosting Mohawks, to which the Indians answered the call and earned the 84-39 victory for a season record count of 5-0.

Recent obstacles obstructing the positive path of the Indians included a Thursday, December 14th scheduled game at Batesville High School against Head Coach Aaron Garrett’s Bulldogs where the tribe fell at final horn’s sounding, 59-64 before their Saturday, December 16, 56-86 loss to Morristown Yellow Jackets.
The Annual Ripley County Basketball Draw pits the Milan Indians and the Batesville Bulldogs against each other in the opening round action of the Annual January 2018 RCT Tourney.
Rounding out the Indians’ December 2017 venue, Milan plays at the Forest Park Holiday Tournament on Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th. Game times have not yet been announced.
