Jac-Cen-Del Eagle archers continue to impress

Archery is in its third year as a Jac-Cen-Del recognized sport, and the enthusiasm continues to warrant much respect among all the teams they compete against in the elementary, middle school and high school level. This year on March 11 at the NASP Indiana State Shoot held on the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Jac-Cen-Del Eagle archers added more distinctive marks in shooting competitions.

Jac-Cen-Del Eagle 7th grader Blake Volz, son of Jason and Christi Volz of Osgood, is joined by his Middle School Archery Coach Bill Parcell as he presents Blake his earned NASP Archery Shoot Meet plaque. Volz earned 3rd place out of 403 middle school boys shooting, 2nd of 140 seventh grade boys competing and ranked 17th among 1075 boys of all ages.


JCD High School Team
The Jac-Cen-Del High School team score of 3351 earned JCD a 5th place ranking among the 29 high school teams competing. Among the 324 high school boy archers, Eagle Garrett Mosier shot 289 to earn a ranking of 8th. Among the 293 high school girl archers, JCD Lady Eagle Alexia Herrmann shot 288 to earn a rank of 9th.

JCD Middle School Team
The Jac-Cen-Del Middle School Team score of 3197 earned JCD a 9th place ranking among the 31 middle school teams competing. The Jac-Cen-Del Middle School boy archer Blake Volz shot 287 to earn a ranking of 3rd among 403 middle school boys competing, 2nd among 140 – 7th grade boys shooting and an overall ranking of 17th among a total of 1075 boys during the 2017 NASP State meet.

JCD Elementary Team
The Jac-Cen-Del Elementary Team score of 2874 earned the Eagles an 11th place ranking among the 32 elementary school teams competing.

Upcoming Meet Events
The NASP Nationals will be held on May 11 – 13 at the convention center in Louisville, Kentucky. The NASP World Meet for 2016 – 17 will be held in Orlando, Fla., July 20 – 22.

A JCD hosted archery meet is slated on April 8 at Jac-Cen-Del High School where one may learn more about the Eagle archers competition endeavors.
