Michael Shane “Mike” Webster


Michael Shane “Mike” Webster, 45, of Hanover, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 in Hanover. He was born February 6, 1971 at Covington, Kentucky, the son of Albert William “Bill” and Margaret Leah “Peggy” Overley Webster.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Jordon Webster and her companion, Blake Harvey of Holton; his loving parents Bill and Peggy Overley Webster of Hanover; his sisters, Lee Ann Webster of Madison, Julie Christine Webster of Madison, Jeana Marie Cole and her husband, Mike of Bedford, Kentucky; his uncles and aunts, Jim Overley of Walton, Kentucky, David Overley and his wife, Teresa of Covington, Kentucky; Sheila Marie Overley of Covington, Kentucky, Patty Neugent and her husband, Jeff of Lakeside Park, Kentucky, Hilda Ruth Fox of Mississippi, Barbara “Deannie” Dedden of Erlanger, Kentucky, Donna Kay Bailey of Erlanger, Kentucky, Mary Anne Fahrenkamp and her husband, Dave of Cincinnati, Ohio; his nieces and nephews, Mariah, Logan, Rose, Michael and Devin; several cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pat and Jim Overley and Albert and Annie Webster, and his aunt, Diane Overley.

Mike had resided in the Hanover community since 1975 and was a 1990 graduate of Southwestern High School. In high school he participated in baseball, basketball and wrestling. Mike had worked early in life for Century Tube, Werner Trucking and Butternut Bread. On November 15, 1991 he was united in marriage to Angela Michelle Schafer. This union was blessed with a daughter, Jordon. For the past eight years he was an equipment operator with Local 769 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Indianapolis. Mike was raised in the Catholic faith and was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Mike had been active in ABATE, NRA and the Hanover Fire Department. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, participating in rides all over the country to help benefit others, fishing, hunting, and cooking. Mike was a great sports fan of the Colts, Reds, Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves.

Funeral mass will be held Friday, April 29, at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 413 East Second Street in downtown Madison, with Father Christopher Craig officiating. Burial will be in the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Madison. Visitation will be Thursday, April 28 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison. The family requests memorials in memory of Michael to the Mike Webster Memorial Fund, contribution cards are available at the funeral home. Roger Shelton, 62, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Services will be held at the home of Jacqueline (Toby) Hughes in Rising Sun. Memorials may be made to the family. Kaela Marie Justis Rutledge

Kaela Marie Justis Rutledge, 31, of New Marion, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at University Hospital in Cincinnati. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29 at 1 p.m. at the Hope Baptist Church in Dillsboro. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles is in charge of arrangements.
