Coach Jeff Greiwe leads South Ripley Raiders Jr. High Baseball Team to 11-8 win
A new South Ripley Middle School sports program found success, as Coach Jeff Greiwe’s baseball team played to an 11 – 8 victory over Madison, on April 20. Coach Greiwe reported that, Eric Vickers and Cody Samples each had three base hits in leading the South Ripley Junior High baseball team to an 11 – 8 win in their inaugural debut. Behind the pitching of Bryce Franklin, Lane Sparks, Vickers, Richie Block, Samples, and Brady Linkel, the visiting Raiders were able to hold off a late Cubs rally in posting the victory. Along with Vickers and Samples, Peyton Owens had a sacrifice bunt and a double, while Franklin, Nate Scoggins, and Dillon Binion added base hits.
JCDHS senior trip plays no favor to senior golfer Lucas Williams
The annually held Ripley County Boys Golf Tournament was hosted by South Ripley High School and held at the Hoosier Links Golf Course in Milan on Monday evening, April 25.
