Mary Louise Lunsford
Mary Louise Lunsford, age 72, of Batesville, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Born November 17, 1944 in Spades, she is the daughter of the late Louis and Frances (Riehle) Retzner. She was a 1963 graduate of ICA and married Steve Lunsford in 1965 at St. Nicholas. She is a member of St. Mary’s of the Rock Church.
Mary is survived by her husband Steve Lunsford; children Jean Nichols (Jon) of Milan and James Lunsford of Batesville. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Jessica and Jarrod Nichols, Samantha, Colton and Ethan Lunsford along with her great grandchildren Jayden and Mackenzie Russell and her siblings Jo Ann Amberger of Sunman, Sr. Alice Retzner of Kentucky, Louis Retzner Jr. of Sunman and John Retzner of Sunman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Marlene Schoettelkotte.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Rock Church in St. Mary’s with Fr. Frank Eckstein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
