Bill E. Davidson
Bill E. Davidson, 63, of Milan, died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Good Samaritan
Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He was born April 20, 1941 in Cincinnati the son
of Willie and Della (Hurd) Davidson, both deceased. He married Darlene (Crowley)
Davidson on July 27, 1963 and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Scott (Karen) Davidson of Cincinnati, OH, Jeff
(Laurie) Davidson of Fishers, two daughters, Angie (Doug) Swigart of Milan, Kim
(Jason) Honeycutt of Milan, two sisters, Mildred Micky (Donald Duke) Fisher of
Cincinnati, Dorothy (Frank) Rogers of Osgood and twelve grandchildren.
Mr. Davidson was a retired truck driver for Complete Auto Transit. He was a U.S.
Marine Corp veteran, was a member of Milan F&AM #31, Scottish Rite Valley
of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine of Indianapolis, Milan Legion Post #235 and the
Teamsters Union Local #100 of Cincinnati, OH.
Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, October 26, 11 a.m. (slow time)
at Cave Hill Church of God in Versailles with Brother Pearl Cornett officiating.
Burial will be in the New Craven Cemetery in Milan with military rites conducted
by the Milan Legion Post #235.
Memorials may go to the Milan F&AM #31 or the Cave Hill Church of God.
Emerson Bud Leep
Emerson Bud Leep, 71, of Osgood, formerly of Moorefield and Pleasant, died
Sunday, October 24, 2004 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.
He was born
February 8, 1933 in Switzerland County the son of Ernest "Monk" Leep
and Clyda (Carlton) Leep, both deceased.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins, Dennis Dance of Anderson, Janie
Fox of Modoc, Barbara Chaplain and William Griffith both of Richmond, Joyce Ann
Aldridge of Dupont, Patty Dew of Lexington, Judith Vanosdol of Butlerville, Donald
Littrell of North Vernon, Gary Brown of Columbus, Sue Rueter of Pleasant, Andy
Leap of Fairview and Larry Leap of Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by
two brothers, Edison Leep and Jack Jeep and five sisters, Ethel Dance, Grace
Griffith, Peggy Fugate, Letha Brown and Mildred Littrell.
Mr. Leep was a graduate of Franklin High School in 1951. He attended Sunday school
and church at the Long Run Baptist Church near Moorefield. He was inducted into
the United States Navy on April 7, 1952 in Cincinnati, OH rising to the rank
of Yeoman 2nd Class. He served in the Korean War and honorably discharged on
April 6, 1960 from the Eleventh Naval District in San Diego, CA receiving the
Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was employed with
General Dynamics Corporation retiring in 1988.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 27, 11 a.m. (slow time) until time
of services at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay.
Funeral services will follow visitation at the funeral home at 1 p.m. (slow time)
with Rev. Ronald Sandidge officiating.
Burial will be in the Vevay Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Vevay
American Legion and VFW. Memorials may go to the Moorefield Community Fire Department
or the donor's choice.
Neva Willis Hill
Neva Willis Hill of Versailles, died Sunday, October 24, 2004 at Columbus Regional
Hospital. She was born on September 10 in Trimble County, KY the daughter of
William Thomas Willis and Bertha Stevenson. She married John Hill and he survives.
Other survivors include two step-daughters, Nancy Pappas of Milford, OH, Jodi
Hill of Noblesville; one stepson, John Michael Hill of Milford, OH; one brother,
Allen Willis of Milton, KY; one God child, Alma Price of Versailles, seven grandchildren
and three nieces. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lena Nowlin.
Mrs. Hill was a school teacher at Old Milton High School and Southwestern Elementary
School in Hanover. She received her bachelor's degree at Hanover College and
her master's degree from Indiana University. She studied for her doctorate at
Eastern Kentucky University.
She was a member of the Tyson United Methodist Church, Ripley County Retired
Teachers Association, Indiana State Teachers Association, received a Sagamore
of the Wabash from Gov. Orr, was a member of United Methodist Women Missionary
Group, real estate broker with Hill Real Estate, Madison Regatta Parade organizer
for the cars, Madison Business and Professional Women, was a published poet,
was an accomplished artist in oil painting, held a pilot's license, gave horse
back riding lessons and ran the stables at Clifty State Park.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, October 26, 4-7 p.m. at Bovard-Holt-Furst
Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 27 at Tyson United Methodist
Church.
Funeral services will follow visitation at the church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday,
October 27 with Rev. Michael Hendrix and Bro. Michael McArter officiating.
Burial will be in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, KY. Memorials may go to the
Tyson United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Mabel C. Wonning
Mabel C. Wonning, 85, of Batesville, died Sunday, October 24, 2004 at the Waters
of Batesville. She was born May 12, 1919 in Batesville the daughter of Edward
and Lena (Cortzer) Huneke, both deceased. She married James Wonning on August
29, 1940 at Fink's Church near Napoleon and he survives. She was a homemaker.
Other survivors include two sons, Gary Wonning of Sarasota, FL, Paul Wonning
of Batesville, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by one sister, Emma Wessel.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 28, 6-8 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home
in Batesville.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 29, 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran
Church, Crossroads, with Pastor Robin Owen officiating.

Janet Ann Brown
Janet Ann Brown, 43, of Moores Hill, died Thursday, October 21, 2004 in Lawrenceburg.
She married Jeff Brown and he survives. She was a homemaker and also a member
of the Faith Baptist Church.
Other survivors include her parents, Rufus and Evelyn (Banks) Kina; three children,
Carmon Jeffrey (Angel) Brown, Jr. of Moores Hill, Jason Randall Brown of Dillsboro,
Craig Buchanan "Buck" Brown of Moores Hill; and two grandchildren,
Megan Brown and Trenton Gridley. She was preceded in death by one sister, Diane
Kina.

Ronald D. Struckman, 39, of Milan, died Saturday, October 23, 2004 at Margaret
Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born July 7, 1965 in Cincinnati,
OH the son of Estol and Barbara Robinson Struckman. He married Renee Struckman
on September 7, 1991 and she survives. He was a self-employed mechanic.
Other survivors include one son, Chaz Watson at home, two daughters, Barbara
Struckman at home, Miranda Struckman at home, his mother, Barbara Campbell of
Bright, paternal grandmother, Imagene Struckman of Middletown, OH, four brothers,
Terry Struckman of Osgood, Estol R. Struckman of Addyston, Michael Struckman
of Addyston, Buddy Struckman of Cleves, OH and two sisters, Balinda Struckman
of Aurora and Crystal Struckman of Cleves, OH.

Ardwin G. "Art" Werner, 70, of Morris, died Saturday,
October 16, 2004 at his residence. He was born April 25,
1934 in Dearborn County the son of George
Werner and Loretta Maucher Werner, both deceased. He married Mary Ann Kuhn Werner
on June 16, 1956 at St. Peter's and she survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Joyce Hansell of Guilford, three sons,
Roger Werner of Greenwood, Daryl Werner of Morris, Dan Werner of St. Leon, four
sisters, Mary Maune of St. Leon, Estelle Salisbury of St. Leon, Bernice Abrams
of Vandalia, OH, Doris Davidson of Lobelville, TN, five brothers, Lawrence Werner
of Batesville, Cletus Werner of Anderson, Omer Werner of Napoleon, Raymond Werner
of Sullivan, Linus Werner of St. Leon and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Werner was an electrician for the Power Electric Company in Cincinnati, OH
for 38 years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic
Church and the St. Anthony Church Choir.
Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, October 19, 10 a.m. at St. Anthony
Catholic Church in Morris with Msgr. Bernard Schmitz officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may go to the St. Anthony Cemetery

Brian Lynn Keith, 63, of Versailles, died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at his residence.
He was born December 29, 1940 in Rising Sun the son of Cecil Keith and Victoria
L. (Kreinhop) Keith. He married Judith Ann (Harris) Keith on March 13, 1965
and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Victoria Louise Keith of Dillsboro, three
sons, Brian Keith, Jr. of Friendship, Kevin Keith of Cincinnati, OH, Michael
Keith of Cincinnati, OH, two brothers, Stephen Keith of Texas, Bruce Keith of
Colorado and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil
Keith and one brother at infancy.
Mr. Keith was a manufacturer representative for Sport Co. Marketing, Inc. in
Worthington, OH.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 21, 11 a.m. until time of services
at Bovard-Holt-Furst Funeral Home in Versailles.
Funeral services will follow visitation at the funeral home at 1 p.m. (slow time)
with Rev. Charles Flory officiating.
Burial will be in the Aker's Friendship Cemetery in Friendship with military
graveside services provided by the Versailles American Legion.

Carl F. Moeller, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2004 in

Gertrude Irene Neff
Gertrude Irene Neff, 91, of Crown Point in Greensburg, formerly of Batesville,
died Monday, October 18, 2004 at Decatur County Hospital in Greensburg. She
was born September 14, 1913 in Mansfield, OH the daughter of Herman and Viola
(Homerick) Klauer, both deceased. She married Morris Neff on September 1, 1939
in Dayton, OH and he preceded her in death on October 18, 1992.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Fredric (Gail Jane) Fralick of Anderson
and Linda Joyce Neff of Dearborn, MI. She was preceded in death by two sisters,
Mrs. Charles (Geradine) Little and Alice Hardman and two brothers, Woodrow Klauer
and Edgar Klauer.
Mrs. Neff was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Batesville United Methodist
Church, Margaret Mary Community Hospital Guild and Hillcrest Country Club in
Batesville.
Private funeral services will be held Thursday, October 21 at Meyers Funeral
Home in Batesville. Burial will be in the Batesville United Methodist Cemetery.

Hinman Manuel
Marjorie Mae Hinman Manuel, 64, of Vevay, near Bennington, died Thursday, October
14, 2004 at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. She was born March 8, 1940
in Ohio County the daughter of Roy E. Hinman and Lillie M. (Bocock) Manuel, both
deceased. She married Charles E. (Chuck) Manuel on April 5, 1958 and he survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Sue Bruce of Vevay, one son, Rodney Lee
Manuel of Vevay, two sisters, Ruth Shadday and husband Dwight of Vevay, Thelma
Laird and husband Bill of Aurora, two brothers, Lewis Hinman and wife Loretta
of Rising Sun, Leroy Hinman and wife Vickie of Florence, one brother-in-law,
Edward Leo Hammond of Florence, three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews
and other relatives. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Myron Hinman,
Donald Hinman and two sisters, Marietta Grace Hinman and Gladys E. "Mo" Hammond.
Mrs. Manuel was raised in the Baptist Church at Rising Sun and was also a homemaker.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 17, 1 p.m. at Haskell & Morrison
Funeral Home in Vevay with Rev. Tom Rogers officiating.
Burial was in the Vevay Cemetery. Memorials may go to the Switzerland County

Russell E. Wall
Russell E. Wall, 78, of Rexville, passed away Friday, October 15, 2004 at the
King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. He was born at McKinney in Lincoln County,
KY on September 8, 1926 the son of Noel and Viola Peek Wall. He was married
to Mable Martin on November 9, 1951 and she survives.
Other survivors include one son, David Wall and wife Bonnie of Milan, two daughters,
Robin Wall of Versailles, Christy Speer and husband Rev. Casey Speer of Columbus,
eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, two brothers, Albert Wall of Frankfort,
KY and Charles Wall of Hayden, two sisters, Carrie Sheene of Hustonville, KY
and Joyce Austin of Palm Springs, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents
and his brothers, Ollie, Bobby, Jerry and Marvin Wall.
Mr. Wall was a Navy veteran of WWII and was a member of the New Marion Baptist
Church. He retired in 1984 after 44 years as an engineer with the Southern Railway
and was also a commercial mink rancher.
Graveside services were held Monday, October 18, 11 a.m. at the Tanglewood Cemetery
near Versailles with Rev. Casey Speer officiating.
Memorials may go to the Child Evangelism or Crown Financial Ministries in care
of the funeral home. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home, Versailles, was in
charge of the arrangements.
Timothy C. (Tim) Ping
Timothy C. (Tim) Ping, 48, of Milan, died Friday, October 15, 2004 at his residence
near Milan. He was born December 26, 1955 in Dayton, OH the son of Ray and
Wilma (Hopper) Ping. He married Karen Sue (Raisor) Ping on December 6, 1980
and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Wilma Ping of Versailles, one brother, Terry
Ping of Fenton, MO, one sister, Dottie Poynter of Crab Orchard, KY and several
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Ping.
Mr. Ping was a 1974 graduate of Milan High School and attended both Indiana State
and Indiana Universities. He was a free lance musician, song writer and teacher
and was also a well known recording artist. He was known by music enthusiasts
as the "Master of the Strata Kaster" and also owned and operated Ping's
Music Store in Lawrenceburg until he was forced to close due to cancer.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 18, 11 a.m. at the Milan First Baptist
Church with Pastor Harris Long officiating.
Burial was in the New Craven Cemetery in Milan. Memorials may go to the Tim Ping
Milan High School Music Memorial Fund.

Margaret Thompson
Evelyn Margaret Thompson, 82, of Milan, died Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Dearborn
County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was born January 14, 1922 in Ripley County
near Pleasant Hill the daughter of Earl and Katherine (Plump) Thompson, both
deceased.
Survivors include two brothers, Harold (wife Anna) Thompson of Milan, Donald
(wife Arvella) Thompson of Plainfield, three nephews and five nieces. She was
preceded in death by one sister, Anna Haase.
Miss Thompson did childcare for the Barrett family in Aurora in the 1940's and
was later a supervisor in the audit department of JC Penny Co. in Grand Rapids,
Michigan for 31 years before her retirement. She was also a member of the St.
Paul Lutheran Church at Stumpke's Corner.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, October 12, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St.
Paul Lutheran Church north of Milan.
Funeral services will follow visitation at the church at 1 p.m. with Pastor Richard
Mackey and Rev. William Powlen officiating.

Ethel L. Kittle (nee Reed), 90, of Moores Hill, formerly of Cleves, OH, died
at her residence on October 6, 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of the
Moores Hill Church of Christ and the J.O.Y. Womens' Group of her church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sally Gosmeyer (Tom), by her sister, Nancy Heintz,
by her grandchildren, Eric, Leslie, Marti, Kyle, Monica, Anita, Tim, Debbie and
Jeff, by her great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy, Hunter, Matti, Josie, Maisy,
Taylor, Ryan, Mallory, Jason, Cheyenne, Katie, Cassie, Michael, Ali, Jared, Zach,
Jennifer and Sara, by her great-great-grandchildren, Braden, Kyleigh, Brea and
Lily and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond M. Kittle, by her son, Jack
Kittle (Myrna) and by her siblings, Edith Schardine, Loretta Riley, Jack, Charles,
Pete and Lester Reed.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 8, 11:30 a.m. at the Dennis George
Funeral Home in Cleves, OH. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Cleves.

Frances Grace Zinger
Frances Grace Zinger, 84, of Batesville, formerly of Wyckoff, NJ died Thursday,
October 7, 2004 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. She was born March 11,
1920 in Marineo, Sicily the daughter of Charles Sr. and Mary (Pepe) Cangialosi,
both deceased. She married George Zinger in 1956 and he preceded her in death
in 1993.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan (Cagnina) Lockwood of Clifton, NJ, five
siblings, Charles Cangialosi Jr. of Kunkletown, PA, Josephine Flores of Andover,
NJ, Anthony Cangialosi of Garfield, NJ, Salvatore Cangialosi of Clifton, NJ,
Mary Seminerio of Wayne, NJ, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Zinger was the manager of a dry cleaning store in Wyckoff, NJ and also owned
and operated a gift shop in Wyckoff. She was a member of the Assembly of God
Church in Batesville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 9, 3 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home
in Batesville with Pastor Randy Edwards officiating. Cremation followed the services.
Charles G. Williams Jr.
Charles G. Williams Jr., 90, of New Point, died Saturday, October 9, 2004 at
Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born April 1, 1914 in
New Pennington the son of Charles Sr. and Letta (Collicutt) Williams, both
deceased. He married Mary Olive Minning in Indianapolis on September 28, 1936
and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2004.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Bobby) Maines of Durham, NC, one son,
Gordon (Carol) Williams of London, OH, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Charles V. Williams and two brothers, Andrew
and John Williams.
Mr. Williams was a lifelong farmer and retired from the Highway Equipment Co.
in Cincinnati, OH. He was also a member of the New Point Christian Church.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 15, 5-8 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home in
Batesville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16, 10 a.m. at New Point Christian
Church with Pastor Mark Vice officiating and calling one half hour before services.
Burial will be in the Rossburg Cemetery in New Point. Memorials may go to the

Carol Thompson of Moores Hill passed away Monday, October 11 at her residence.

Ethel R. Dunbar
Ethel R. Dunbar, 99, of Osgood, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2004 at the Manderley
Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born near Delaware in Delaware Township
on February 28, 1905 the daughter of Charles and Carrie Parsons Knowlton. She
was married to Ralph Dunbar on June 19, 1926 and he preceded her in death on
February 14, 1998.
Mrs. Dunbar is survived by her son, Donald Dunbar and his wife Shirley of Osgood,
granddaughters, Brenda Strimple and husband Rex of Holton, Debbie Hardy and Paul
of Osgood, Lucinda Fromer and Roger of Batesville, six great-grandchildren and
one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Downey and husband Bill of Osgood.
Mrs. Dunbar, along with her husband, were co-owners of the Dunbar & Bultman
milk plant and restaurant in Osgood from 1939 to 1978. She was a 1923 graduate
of Osgood High School and was a member of the Osgood United Methodist Church
and the Osgood-Versailles chapter of the Eastern Star.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 13, 5-8 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter
Funeral Home in Versailles.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 1 p.m. at the funeral home
with Dale Day officiating.
Burial will be in the Mud Pike Cemetery near Osgood. Memorials may be given to

James Jackson
James Jackson, 93, of Indianapolis, formerly of Ripley County, died Saturday,
October 9, 2004 at Castleton Health Care Center in Indianapolis. He was born
May 30, 1911 in Ripley County the son of Lemuel Jackson and Aletha Ann (Spears)
Jackson, both deceased.
Survivors include three step-grandchildren and several nephews. He was preceded
in death by three sisters, Kathryn Chadwell, Lorean Holzer, Juda Stephan and
one brother, Rufus Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a plumber and welder for Justice Construction Co. He was an Army
veteran of WWII and a member of the Church of God in Indianapolis.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 14, 1 p.m. until time of services at
Bovard-Holt-Furst Funeral Home in Versailles.
Funeral services will follow visitation at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev.
Stephen McCart officiating.

Lelah Evelyn Perkins
Lelah Evelyn Perkins, 94, of Butlerville, died Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Schneck
Medical Center in Seymour. She was born February 8, 1910 in Milton, KY the
daughter of William and Minnie Wingham Scalf, both deceased. She married John
Gilbert Perkins on December 3, 1925 in Bloomington and he preceded her in death
on April 1, 1980.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Harriett A. Perkins of Butlerville, one
sister, Virginia Burkman of Southport, two grandsons, Robert L. Perkins and Richard
W. Perkins, both of North Vernon, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, Glen Perkins, one brother, Harold Scalf
and four sisters, Inez, Gertrude, Maude and Hilda.
Mrs. Perkins worked at Regal Rugs in North Vernon. She was Assistant Postmistress
and then Postmistress of the Butlerville Post Office. She retired from Muscatatuck
State Developmental Center in Butlerville in 1972 and was treasurer of the Bethel
Cemetery for many years. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in
North Vernon and volunteered at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital Guild in North
Vernon.
Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, October 12, 2 p.m. at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel
Funeral Home in North Vernon with Rev. Dick Burcham officiating.

Kathy A. Foley Stringer, 49, of Napoleon, formerly of Canaan,
died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at her residence. She was born
September 12, 1955 in Jefferson County
the daughter of Ralph William "Bill" Foley and Maxine Fowler Foley.
She married John Michael Stringer on January 29, 1977 and he survives.

Stringer of Napoleon, three sisters, Karen Rowlett and husband Terry, Katie Lockridge
and husband Jeff, Kim Watson and husband Danny, all of Canaan, her mother-in-law,
Carolyn Stringer of Greensburg, one brother-in-law, Pat Stringer of Lake Santee,
six aunts, Maxine Gordon of Madison, Mary Ann Tobias of Kent, Joanne Pendleton
of Colorado Springs, CO, Betty Moore of Sandusky, Margie Carl of Greensburg,
Wanda Ralston of Letts, two uncles, Dickie Rigby and wife Shirley of Greensburg,
Silas Rigby of Napoleon and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph William "Bill" Foley
on September 5, 2000, one daughter, Carolyn Maxine Stringer on May 24, 1989 and
her father-in-law, John Stringer in June of 2003.
Mrs. Stringer was a native of Jefferson County community, growing up on the family
farm near Canaan. She was a 1973 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School.
Kathy had lived in the Napoleon community for the past 18 years and had worked
the past five years at GECOM in Greensburg. Kathy was a member of the St. Maurice
Catholic Church in Napoleon. She had formerly worked in the catering business,
which showed in her continuing love for cake decorating.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, October 12, 4-8 p.m. (slow time) at Morgan-Webster-Nay
Funeral Home in Madison and also Wednesday, October 13, 9-11 a.m. at the funeral
home. Rosary services will be held Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

with Rev. Todd officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Gardens
in Madison.

Jack B. Webb
Jack B. Webb, 89, of Versailles, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the
King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. He was born in Columbus, OH on June
5, 1915 and was raised in Raver, West Virginia the son of John B. and Josephine
McGovern Webb. He was married to Imon Russell and she preceded him in death
on May 27, 1995.
Other survivors include one daughter, Joretta Grass of Nineveh, one grandson,
Mark R. Crosby of Loveland, OH, one granddaughter, Traci Grass of Franklin, four
great-grandchildren, Joshua and Alex Crosby, Derek Burton and Chloe Grass and
his half sister, Gladys Carter of Crestview, FL.
Mr. Webb retired from the Jefferson Proving Ground where he was director of range
control and had worked with the CCC's. He was also a member of the Versailles
Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, October 12, 10 a.m. until time of services
at the Versailles Baptist Church.
Funeral services will follow visitation at the church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark
Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles.

Norma C. Rimstidt
Norma C. Rimstidt, 94, of Madison, died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at the Waters
of Clifty Falls in Madison. She was born March 1, 1910 in Bear Branch the daughter
of Fred Wm. Housmyer and Anna M. Knigga, both deceased. She married Frank P.
Rimstidt and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Robert F. (Nelda) Rimstidt of Bloomington, Caroll
Dean Rimstidt of Madison, Ivan J. (Barbara) Rimstidt of Madison, six grandchildren
and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Phillip
Rimstidt and one brother, Reuben Housmyer.
Mrs. Rimstidt was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church
in Bear Branch where she played the organ for 55 years. She helped organize the
Mental Health Association of Ohio County and was a member of the Indiana Mental
Health Association TLC Committee. She was also leader of the Ohio Co. Women for
the Indiana Farm Bureau Association for many years.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 13, 5-8 p.m. EDT at Ulrich Filter
Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 11 a.m. EDT at St. Peter's
Lutheran Church in Dillsboro. Burial will be in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery
in Bear Branch.

Shep" Shepherd
Robert Lee "Shep" Shepherd, 68, passed away Wednesday,
October 6, 2004 at his residence in Friendship. He was born
August 18, 1936 in Paxton. His parents
were Herbert and Eliza (Brickey) Shepherd. He married Nancy Marling on May 20,
1989 and she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Robin Wilson and Kelly King, one stepson,
Gordon Feaster, one stepdaughter, Kimberly Feaster, seven grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
Mr. Shepherd retired from Sysco Foods. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #699
F&AM, Indianapolis Murat Shrine and the Scottish Rite.
Services were held Saturday, October 9 at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral
Home in Greenwood. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Wilma Kamman
Wilma Kamman, 76, of Greensburg, formerly of Cross Plains, passed away Sunday,
October 10, 2004 at the Heritage House in Greensburg. She was born at Vevay
on January 3, 1928 the daughter of Marion and Flora Blanche Richards Warner.
She was married to Estol Kamman on August 17, 1946 and he preceded her in death
on May 8, 1988.
Survivors include one son, Ray Kamman and wife Velma of Greensburg, three daughters,
Jeraldine Morgan and husband Richard, Ann Becht and husband Fred, all of Greensburg,
Beverly Murakami of Elmhurst, IL, eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren
and one brother, Paul Warner of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents,
her son Kenneth, sisters Edith Clarkson and Velma Gullion and her brother Charles
Warner.
Mrs. Kamman was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
in Greensburg and was also a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dewberry.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 13, 12 p.m. until time of services
at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
Funeral services will follow visitation at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Pastor
Mark Flory of Holy Trinity officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Dewberry. Memorials may be

Ottilian Margaret "Peggy" Stinnett
Ottilian Margaret "Peggy" Stinnett, 89, of Greensboro, NC, formerly
of Osgood, died Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
She was born March 17, 1915 in Dickerson, ND the daughter of Michael Schock and
Anna Rice, both deceased. She married Virgil R. Stinnett on March 1, 1946 and
he survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Becky Shoutd and husband Don of Mansfield,
OH, Susan Murphy and husband Larry of Mt. Eden, KY, one sister, Elizabeth Fredrick
of Porter Lane, ID, one brother, Henry Schock of Spokane, WA, several grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Stinnett,
one sister, Mary and one grandson, Richard Shoutd.
Mrs. Stinnett was a homemaker and was a member of the Catholic faith.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 10 a.m. at Grandview Memorial
Gardens Chapel in Madison.
Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may go to the Evergreen

Alice L. McCoy
Alice L. McCoy, 79, of Olean, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2004 at the
Waters of Ross Manor in Dillsboro. She was born near Olean on November 7, 1924
the daughter of Herman and Hattie Pegee. She was married to R.C. McCoy on May
5, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 3, 1973.
Mrs. McCoy was a 1944 graduate of Cross Plains High School and was a member of
the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Olean. She, along with her husband, owned and
operated the Versailles Implement Company in Olean for several years. She had
also been employed with the US Shoe Factory in Osgood and Wood Farm Supply in
Versailles. She was currently serving as president of the Ripley County Historical
Society and was a member of the Ripley County Extension Homemakers. She had also
served as a food judge for several county fairs throughout southern Indiana for
nearly 50 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Wygant and husband Dean, Peggy Ehlers and
husband Robert, all of Versailles, two grandchildren, Shawn Ehlers and Allison
Wygant.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 2, 10 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter
Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Cecil Logan officiating.
Burial was in the St. Peter's Cemetery in Olean. Memorials may be given to the
cemetery in care of the funeral home.
Billy Gene Strunk
Billy Gene Strunk, 72, of Elrod, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2004 at his residence.
He was born at Winfield, TN on August 28, 1932 the son of Beatty and Maud Goodman
Strunk. He was married to Evelyn Cornett on July 12, 1956 and she survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Charles Strunk, Ronald Strunk, Wayne Strunk,
all of Elrod, David Strunk and wife Cindy of Versailles, four daughters, Wendy
Bergman and husband Steve of Milan, Joan Collins and husband Dave of Osgood,
Kathy Davidson and husband Dale of West Harrison, Sharon Haney and husband
Wade of Lawrenceburg, twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one
brother, Ronald D. Strunk of Milan, one sister-in-law, Jaunita Strunk of Cincinnati.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
Mr. Strunk was an Air Force veteran and was a truck driver for Harrison Ready
Mix. He was a member and co-founder of the Cavehill Church of God.
Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, October 5, 11 a.m. at the Cavehill
Church of God with Bro. Pearl Cornett officiating.
Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery in Elrod. Memorials may be given to
the church.

Daisy (Wood) Tyra
Daisy (Wood) Tyra, 96, of Cincinnati, died Friday, October 1, 2004 at the Lodge
Skilled Care Facility, Loveland, OH. She was born May 28, 1908 in Wolfe County,
Kentucky the daughter of Alford Wood and Martha (Napier) Wood. She married
Everett Tyra and he survives in Cincinnati.
Other survivors include one son, Paul Tyra and wife Darlene Joyce of Cincinnati;
one grandson, Todd Everett Tyra and wife Krista of Cincinnati; two great granddaughters,
Halley and Erin Tyra of Cincinnati; four sisters, Irene Scudder of Dillsboro,
Virginia Liter of Pleasant, Ada Tyra of Cross Plains, Anna Mae Whisman of Naples,
FL; and one brother, Everett Wood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.
Mrs. Tyra sewed and worked at the Ewing Young Ford Plant during WWII building
warplanes. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Cincinnati.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 4, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Bear Creek
Baptist Church with Rev. Sherman Hughes officiating. Burial was in the Cross
Plains Methodist Cemetery.

Eugene Keck
Eugene Keck, 81, of Osgood, died Sunday, October 3, 2004 at Margaret Mary Community
Hospital, Batesville. He was born April 11, 1923 in Ripley County the son of
Dewey S. and Velma Dole Keck, Sr. He married Rosella May Greenwood on April
29, 1939 and she survives at home.
Other survivors include one son, Ronald L. Keck of Denver, CO; five grandchildren;
and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Keck.
Mr. Keck was a WWII Army veteran, a member of the Wm. A. Gilland American Legion
Post in Osgood, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Osgood Masonic Lodge,
Osgood-Versailles Eastern Star, Osgood United Methodist Church and Keene Henneke
VFW of Napoleon. He was a brakeman/conductor for Conrail Railroad company for
38 years and a school bus driver for JCD for 25 years.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 6 from 5-8 p.m. at Neal's Funeral
Home, Osgood. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7 at 1 p.m. at
the funeral home with services being held by the William A. Gilland American
Legion Post, Osgood and the Keene Henneke VFW Post, Napoleon. Burial will be
in the Cliff Hill Cemetery, Versailles.
Memorials may be made to the Fishes and Loaves or the Osgood American Legion

Horace G. Baker
Horace G. Baker, 61, of Washington, formerly of Holton, died Saturday, October
2, 2004 at the Prairie Village Living Center, Washington. He was born October
14, 1942 in McKee, KY, the son of Albert Lloyd Baker and Vergie Sizemore Baker,
both deceased. He was a laborer.
Survivors include five sisters, Winona Sexton and husband, Herschel of Lancaster,
KY, Eunice Wolfe of Brookville, OH, Geneva Crawford of Weston, FL, Norma Henson
and husband Frank Jr., of Lexington, KY, Barbara Sue Wells and husband Lonnie
of Nicholasville, KY,; two brothers, Frank B. Baker and wife Wanda of Nicholasville,
KY, John B. Baker of KY,; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Thelma Ford.
Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, October 5 at 1:30 p.m. at Bovard-Holt-Furst
Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery, Holton.

Maurice P. Moeller
Maurice P. Moeller, 76, of Greensburg, died September 25, 2004 at Decatur County
Memorial Hospital, Greensburg. He was born October 14, 1927 in Greensburg the
son of John L. and Dora Hellmich Moeller. He married Susanne Loyd on April
19, 1952 and she survives in Greensburg.
Other survivors include one son, Joseph Moeller of Washington, D.C.; three daughters,
Ann French of Phoenix, AZ, Carol Blasdel and husband Tim of Greensburg, Barbara
Jakedand and husband Ed of Shelbyville; three brothers, Norbert Moeller of Richmond,
John William Moeller of Greensburg, Robert Moeller of Decatur; two sisters, Henrietta
Carroll of Osgood, Marita Cherry of Greensburg; two grandchildren, two step grandchildren
and three step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and
one brother, Walter Moeller.
Mr. Moeller worked at Decatur County Bank and was the owner of Maurice Moeller
Insurance for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
Church, K of C fourth degree, Greensburg American Legion and a 1945 graduate
of Greensburg High School. He was also a veteran of the Army.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 29 at noon at St. Mary's Catholic
Church with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating. Internment was in the St. Mary's
Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's School and the Hospice of Decatur County.
