Steven Hollin, 18, of Holton, and Nathan Vogel, 19, from Westport, both admitted to burglarizing a home near Batesville on Tuesday of this week.

According to information from Lt. Stan Holt of the Batesville Police Department, police were alerted when a concerned citizen contacted their department about two suspicious males who came to her door asking for directions.

The citizen reported that the two were walking up and down Mid Road. Lt. Jeff Thielking responded and canvassed the area informing citizens of the report. Within just a few minutes, one of the citizens that Thielking had spoken to called police saying the suspects were walking in the area of 1400 North.

Hollin and Vogel were located near the intersection of 1400 North and 50 West. Thielking found them to be in possession of items that had the name of a resident living nearby. Both were taken to the Batesville Police Department where they admitted to burglarizing a home at 50 West.

Both teens are being held at the Ripley County Jail on charges of Burglary. Ripley County Sheriff's Deputy Tom Grills assisted with the investigation.
