Cecil Bultman Jr. of Napoleon was honored by the Indiana Motor Truck Association as a Master Truck Driver for his exceptional driving record. Bultman, who has been driving a truck for over 51 years, has logged over 2 million miles without an accident.

Bultman has been working for Baylor Trucking Inc. for 14 years. He has conducted orientation, taught CDL classes, cleared driveways in winter, and, of course, driven a truck for Baylor. “For 14 years he has done whatever we ask of him,” president Bob Baylor said.

Besides working for Baylor, Bultman also has been dedicated to his community. He has served as a firefighter for 50 years. He has also served on the Versailles Rescue 69 Emergency Medical Services for 28 years. He is also a Lions Club member. “The good Lord says you need to help people,” Bultman said.

Bultman is one of about 75 drivers who are honored as Master Drivers each year. The State of Indiana has 185,000 commercially licensed drivers.

The IMTA awards the Master Truck Driver award for drivers who have driven one million miles or ten years without accident, not received a traffic citation in the past three years, and have been committed to community service or continued their professional education.
