Winners announced – Chamber Walk/Run is big success

On Saturday, June 24, the 13th annual Chamber of Commerce run/walk began at 8:00 AM on the Versailles Square. Age groups varied from (runners & walkers): 13 & under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. The top three (male & female) earned a gold, silver, or bronze medal.
The overall first male runner to cross the course finish line was Cecil Franke in an elapsed time of 14:44:00. Jeremiah Vaughan took second with the time of 16:56:00, and Erik Demaree finished in third place with the time of 17:06:00.

Legion Post #173 sponsored Baseball Team & Coaches to honor Legionnaires on July 10
Pictured are members of the 2006 American Legion Post #173 sponsored baseball team. They and the coaches have made plans to honor Legionnaires prior to their scheduled home game, Monday, July 10, at the South Ripley High School baseball field at 5:00 pm. The opponents for the game of the evening will be from the Lawrenceburg Post. The public is invited and encouraged to participate.
