Chandler
Emma Faith Chandler, new-born daughter of Timothy and Erin
Geyman Chandler of Richmond, KY, died Saturday, September
23, 2006 at St. Jo-seph East Hospital, Lexington, KY.
Survivors include grandpar-ents Dan and Robin Geyman of Madison
and Jeff and Vicki Chandler of Cross Plains; great-grandparents
Mary Geyman of Madison; David and Anita Chandler of Cross
Plains; Thomas Reed of Leitchfield, KY; and, Kenny and Mary
Steward of Madison; great-great-grandmother Mabel Chandler
of Cross Plains and great-great-grandfather Ray Hearne of
Deputy.
She was preceded in death by great-grandfather Ralph Gey-man
and great-grandmother June Hammond.
Private family services will be held on Thursday, September
28 at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home Madison Chapel. Burial will
be at the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison.
Marjorie Blanche Siebert
Marjorie Blanche Siebert, 86, of Batesville, died Monday,
September 25, 2006 at Hospitality Hall in Batesville. She
was born August 27, 1920 in Jackson Township south of Napoleon,
the daughter of Bernard and Margaret Meady Keene, both deceased.
She married Melvin Siebert of Napoleon on Novem-ber 28, 1942
and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include son Ronald Siebert of Batesville; brother
Lester and wife Margaret Keene of Greensburg; sister-in-law
Mildred Hotopp of Indianapolis, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brother William Keene and sister
Margaret "Peggy" Witkemper Best.
Mrs. Siebert was a retired nurses aid from Margaret
Mary Community Hospital after 31 years. She was a member of
the St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon.
Visitation will be Wednes-day, September 27 from 5-8:00 p.m.
at the Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Funeral services
will be held Thursday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral
home with Fr. Ste-phen Akange officiating. Burial will be
in the St. Paul Church Cemetery at Crossroads.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Church Cemetery fund.
Mildred Juanita
Baxter
Mildred Juanita Baxter, 74, of Elrod, died Sunday, Septem-ber
10, 2006 at her residence.
She was a graduate of Ver-sailles High School, Class of 1950
and was employed at Campbell Hausfeld and Cum-mins, then retired
from G.E. She was also a member of Eastern Star in Versailles.
She is survived by son, Gary Baxter of Carmel; daughter Chiquette
(Amy) of Hamilton, OH; sister Wanda Waldon of Greendale; three
granddaugh-ters; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.
There will be a pitch-in din-ner, Sunday, October 1 at 2:00
p.m. with a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. at her home, 4474
E. CR 300 S, Elrod.
The family requests dona-tions to be made to Kings Daughters
Hospice Center or charity of donors choice.
The family would like to ex-press our great appreciation to
her nurse, Lori, physical thera-pist, Rick and close neighbor,
Marie for all the love and care given throughout her illness.

Adams
Carolyn Sue Adams, 72, of Osgood, died Friday, September 15,
2006 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville.
She was born October 11, 1933, the daughter of Roscoe Francis
and Pervia Leonna Zimmerman Davis, both de-ceased. She married
Harold "Hap" E. Adams and he sur-vives.
Survivors also include daughters Carolyn "Lorri"
Car-penter of Osgood and Kristi D. Lyall of Bear, DE; sisters
Fran-ces "Marlene" L. Edington of Knightstown; Barbara
Ann Smith of Franklin and Mary Kay Lacy of Spiceland; sister-in-law
Frances Davis of Franklin, and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brother Philip Ray Davis.
Mrs. Adams was a past em-ployee of Bohner & Wagner Tax
Service of Osgood. She was a member of the New Testament Christian
Church of Osgood.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 18 at Neals
Funeral Home in Osgood. Burial was in the Center Christian
Church Cemetery in Mays.
Memorials may be made to the New Testament Christian Church
or the American Cancer Fund.
Elizabeth Rose "Betty" Sanders
Dyson
Elizabeth Rose "Betty" Sanders Dyson, 57, of Colum-bus,
MS, died Saturday, Sep-tember 16, 2006 at Christ Hos-pital
in Cincinnati, OH. She was born October 26, 1948, the daughter
of Herman and Rose Mary Sanders, both deceased. She married
George Dyson of Columbus, MS and he survives.
Survivors also include daughters Lisa Meggs and An-gela Rawson
of Columbus, MS; stepsons Stephen Tracey and George Dyson,
Jr. of Columbus, MS; stepdaughter Renee Dyson Merritt of Birmingham,
AL; brothers Jim Sanders of Phenix City, AL and George Wayne
Sanders of Pineville, LA; sisters Mary Dalton of McAdams,
MS; Linda Crouse of Dixon, KY; Sarah Gibbs of Osgood; and
Rosemary Tharp of Shawnee, KS; and seven grandchildren.
Her sister, Susan Seawright preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dyson held a B.S. in Accounting and was self-employed
as a creative artist.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20 at 10:30
a.m. at the Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko, MS.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Louella C. Fondong
Louella C. Fondong, 82, of Milan, died Saturday, September
16, 2006 at Ross Manor in Dillsboro. She was born October
21, 1923 in Aurora, the daughter of Harry "Tom"
and Ruth Harper Fondong, both deceased.
Survivors include brother Clarence Fondong of Lawrence-burg;
sister Edith Russell of Milan; nieces and nephews.
Miss Fondong was a mis-sionary and served during WWII in the
Army Air Force. She worked with the Protestant Religious Education
Services (PRES) under the supervision of military chaplains
doing visitations and childrens Bible classes from 1960-1973.
She was a member of the Milan Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, September 19 from
6-8:00 p.m. at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20 at 11:00
a.m. at the Milan Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, the Milan Food
Pantry or the donors choice.
Rosemary "Rosey" Watkins
Rosemary "Rosey" Watkins, 88, of Aurora, died Saturday,
September 16, 2006 at her residence. She was born October
30, 1923 in Pleasantville, the daughter of Raymond and Maude
May Walters McCammon, both deceased. She married Ralph E.
Watkins and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1994.
Survivors include daughters Marjorie Farrer of NC; Betty Watkins
of TX and Nancy Truex of Fishers; brother Nelson McCammon
of Monroe, WI; sisters Esther Schinbecler of Columbia City;
Ann Jane Murray of Ft. Wayne and Ruth Adkins of SC; and four
grandchildren.
Mrs. Watkins was a 4th-8th grade school teacher in Dearborn
County for 25 years. She was a 4-H leader for 25 years and
president of the Dearborn County 4-H board. Mrs. Watkins was
the Dearborn County Citizen of the Year. She was active in
the Sinai United Methodist Church, past Worthy Matron of Eastern
Star, Honorary Achievement Award for the Indiana Association
of County & District Fairs and a member of the D.A.R.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, September 19 from
4-8:00 p.m. at the Filter Funeral Home in Aurora. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday, September 20 at 10:00 a.m.
at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery
in Aurora.
Memorials may be made to Phi Beta Psi Cancer Research or the
Mt. Sinai Methodist Church building fund.
Ralph "Ralphie" Sedam
Ralph "Ralphie" Sedam, 66, of Ft. Wayne, died Sunday,
September 17, 2006 at Parkview Hospital after a battle with
cancer. He was born July 1, 1940 in Benham, the son of Charles
and Faye Sedam, both deceased. He married Joyce Ann Sedam
on June 25, 1960 and she survives.
Survivors also include son Mark and wife Kitty of Albu-querque,
NM; grandchildren Haley, Tyler and Steven Sedam of Albuquerque,
NM; sisters Esther and husband Larry Hunger of Benham; Ruth
and husband Bud Corson of Columbus and Ruby and husband Charles
Hopping of Milan; and mother-in-law Forest Johnson of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by brothers Earl, Jimmy and Gary
and an infant sister.
Mr. Sedam was a sales repre-sentative for NAPA for many years
and retired from Laub Auto Parts in Archbold, OH in April
2006. He was a member of Praise Lutheran Church, Ft. Wayne.
Visitation will be Wednes-day, September 20 from 5-8:00 p.m.
at the D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home,
1320 E. Dupont Rd. in Ft. Wayne. Funeral services will be
held on Thursday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral
home with Rev. Fred Hearn officiating. Burial will be in Washington
Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Martha E. Thomas
Martha E. Thomas, 90, of North Vernon, died Sunday, September
17, 2006 at the Hos-pice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.
She was born June 27, 1916, the daughter of Jesse and Eliza
McDaniel Thomas, both deceased.
Survivors include sister Esther Armstrong of Speedway; brother
Edis Thomas of Indian-apolis; several nieces, nephews and
cousins in the Jefferson County area.
She was preceded in death by sisters Mae Palmer, Elizabeth
Wilcosin, Naomi Palmer and Ruth Thomas; brothers Ezra, Lorrian,
Paul, Lyle and Floyd Thomas.
Miss Thomas was a home-maker.
Graveside funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, September
19 at 3:00 p.m. at the Marble Corner Cemetery in Versailles
with Rev. Wilber Vandervort officiating.

Herman W. Sanders
Herman W. Sanders, 92, of McAdams, MS, passed away Saturday,
September 9, 2006 at his residence. He was born February 3,
1914 the son of Henry and Mary Weeks Sanders, both deceased.
He married Rosemary Sanders and she also preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons Jim Sanders of Phoenix City, AL and
George Sanders of Pineville, LA; daughters Mary Dalton of
McAdams, MS; Linda Crouse of Dixon, KY; Sarah Gibbs of Osgood;
Rose Dyson of Friendship and Rosemary Tharp of Shawnee, KS;
sisters Christine Parker of Leesburg, FL; Mary Elba Phillps
of Baton Rouge, LA and Ethelyn Hutchison of Kosciusko, MS.
He was preceded in death by brother Percy Sanders, daughter
Susan Seawright and sister Dorothy Davis.
Mr. Sanders received his Masters Degree from Ole Miss.
He was also awarded research fellowships from LSU, Auburn
University and Ole Miss. Mr. Sanders retired from Holmes Community
College where he was a Professor of Organic Chemistry. He
was a member of McAdams Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, September 12
at 10:30 a.m. at the McAdams Baptist Church, McAdams, MS with
James Young officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge
Cemetery.
Claude L. Koger
Claude L. Koger, 76, of Peru, Illinois, formerly of Ripley
County, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006 at the Glenn
Oaks Hospital in Glendale Heights, Illinois. He was born at
Monticello in Wayne County, Kentucky on May 15, 1930 the son
of Charles and Clona Ball Koger.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas Koger of Peru, IL and
Dennis Koger of Jefferson City, MO; two daughters, Cherlyn
Purvis of LaSalle, IL and Cathy Hackler of Sycamore, IL; eight
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Garmon
Koger of Chesterfield, Francis Koger of Princeton, IL and
Marshall Koger of Osgood; and one sister, Betty Jean Smock
of Osgood. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister,
Eva Williams, and brothers, Kenneth and Doyle Koger.
Mr. Koger was an Army vet-eran of the Korean War. He formerly
worked for the Seattle, Washington Police Department, Sigma
Graphics of Ottawa, Illinois, and Wayside Press of Mendota,
Illinois.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 15 at 11 a.m.
at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Visitation
will be from 10 a.m. until time of services.
Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles with
military graveside rites by the Versailles American Legion.

Henry N. 'Hank'
Voss
Henry N. Hank Voss, 64, of Milan, died Wednesday,
August 30, 2006 at his residence. He was born June 29, 1942
in Milan the son of Walter F. and Mabel (Butt) Voss. He married
Emily M. Shade Voss on September 1, 1962 and she survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Brian, David and Shelli,
Brad and Erin Voss all of Milan; one daughter, Anne Marie
and Marty Layden of Milan; one brother, Paul Voss of Batesville;
three sisters, Virginia and Jinky Craft of Shelbyville, Ellie
Brinkman of Lawrenceburg, Esther Voss of Indianapolis and
seven grandchildren.
Mr. Voss was a farmer and a school bus driver for Milan Com-munity
School system for 36 years. He was a member of the Milan Volunteer
Fire Department, was the Washington Township Precinct Committeeman,
was a member of the Ripley County Basketball Hall of Fame;
member of the 1964 Indiana Central Hall of Fame team and a
member of the Milan First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sun-day, September 3 at 2 p.m.
at the Milan United Methodist Church with Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry
and Rev. Harris Long officiating. Burial was in the Cliff
Hill Ceme-tery, Versailles.
Memorials may be made to the Henry Voss Athletic Scholarship
Fund or to the Milan Volunteer Fire Department.
