                  '07 High School Boys' 
                    Golf Sectional held at Sunrise

                    The 2007 IHSAA boys' golf season ended for most high school 
                    players as sectionals were held this week. The Madison hosted 
                    Sectional included individual golfers representing 13 different 
                    schools and 12 teams of golfers, at the Sunrise Golf Course 
                    on Monday, June 4. 
                    The 13 schools represented were: Madison Consolidated Cubs, 
                    South Dearborn Knights, Madison Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers, 
                    Jennings County Panthers, Southwestern Hanover Rebels, Milan 
                    Indians, East Central Trojans, Lawrenceburg Tigers, Rising 
                    Sun Shiners, Jac-Cen-Del Eagles, Restoration Christian, Switzerland 
                    County Pacers and South Ripley Raiders.
                    The earliest tee time was set for 9:30 AM with 3 member units 
                    hitting the greens. Madison, South Dearborn and Shawe schools 
                    were in the first group to tee off at 8 minute intervals. 
                    
                    The second set of schools represented teed off at approximately 
                    10:10 AM. They included Jennings County, Southwestern Hanover 
                    and Milan. 
                    The third and final grouping to tee off got underway at around 
                    10:50 AM and included representatives of Jac-Cen-Del, Restoration 
                    Christian, Switzerland County and South Ripley high schools.
                    The best golf score of the tournament was turned in by Robert 
                    Wall of the Madison Shawe Hilltoppers who shot his first 9 
                    holes @33 and the back 9 @ 40 for an 18 hole round of 70 which 
                    was 2 under par for the course.
                    The second best tally was recorded by Kenneth Shelton of the 
                    South Dearborn Knights. Shelton scored a 36 on the front 9 
                    holes and a 35 on the back 9 for a total of 71 for the round.
                    The third place scoring tie was at 73 between Tereshko of 
                    Madison Cons, and Plumlee of Jennings County with Tereshko 
                    @ 37 on front 9 and 36 on back 9, and Plumlee scoring just 
                    the opposite with a round of 36 on first 9 holes and 37 on 
                    back 9.

                    The South Ripley Raider team members and individual scores 
                    were; Jerad Rogers - 85, Blake Richmond - 95, Michael Phillips 
                    - 95, Jake Waldron - 93 and Justin Clements - 96.
                    The Jac-Cen-Del Eagle team members and individual scores were; 
                    Andrew Wagner - 79, Josh Tunny - 98, Donald Lows - 98, Ethan 
                    Harmeyer - 105 and Tyler Powers - 104.

                    3rd place low medalist -
                    Justin Tereshko of 
                    Madison Cons. Cubs
                    Tereshko & Tyler Plumlee of the Jennings County Panthers 
                    were tied at 73 after 18 holes, forcing a sudden death playoff 
                    where Tereshko won on the 3rd playoff hole.
