Dabney home completely destroyed by fire
PHOTO COMPLIMENTS OF THE RIPLEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
The home of James Lewis was a complete loss after fire raged through it Sunday morning, September 16. When firefighters from the Holton Volunteer Fire Dept. responded to the home at 1140 N. Michigan Rd. (across from the Dabney Baptist Church) it was fully engulfed. Fire Chief Frank Franklin said the roof had already fallen in when they arrived. The owners of the home were not in the residence on that morning and no one was injured. The Versailles Volunteer Fire Department provided mutual aid to Holton with Rescue 69 and the Ripley County Sheriff's Office also responding.
