The 2007 Milan Indian Coed Soccer Team honors eight senior team members
The Indians' last home game of the season, against the Madison Shawe Hilltoppers, set the stage for the soon to be graduates to be honored for their contribution to the Milan soccer program. Pictured from left are; John Burgan, Jasmine Vetma-Holins, Craig McKittrick, Aaron Gutzwiller, Janin Hesch, Josh Dickey, Tyler Reese and Todd Edwards. The final match of the regular season for the Indians was at South Ripley High School on Monday, October 1, where the Indians fell 3-1 to the Raider boys' team. They will square off against Soutyh Ripley in the opening sectional match at Jac-Cen-Del High School at 5 PM on Thursday evening, October 4. The winner will advance to play in the championship round against either the Jennings County Panthers or the hosting Jac-Cen-Del Eagles in the 7 PM Saturday, October 6 match.

South Ripley varsity soccer squad establishes
new plateau for future Raider teams to work toward

The 2007 South Ripley Raider boys soccer team bids ado to nine seniors on this years squad. The nine young men were honored at their last home game of the season on Monday evening, October 1, at South Ripley High School Soccer field during the halftime intermission of the SR vs Milan Indian varsity match. The Raiders won the game 3-1 earning themselves a new school record for varsity games won in a single season at 11-5 overall ( 8-4 in ORVC play). The old record had stod since the 2001 season. The team, behind new Head Coach Matt Obendorf, are set to face the Milan Indians once again in the first round of sectional play at Jac-Cen-Del High School on Thursday, October 4, at 5 PM. The winner of that game will advance to a championship game against the JCD Eagles or the Jennings County Panthers.
