According to Deputy Steve Sullivan of the Ripley County Sheriff's Office, the car pictured left of the ambulance in the above picture, was eastbound on US 50 east of Versailles when it turned in front of a motorcycle (pictured at right) being operated by 36-year-old Chris Carf of Versailles, who was westbound. The motorcycle came to rest on the right side of the highway with Carf sustaining several injuries. He was taken to Margaret Mary Community Hospital. Karamdeep S. Virk, 20, was the driver of the 2004 Chevy Impala. He was not injured, but a female front seat passenger was taken to the hospital for minor head injuries. Deputy Sullivan said the investigation is ongoing, but preliminary results show Virk did not yield when turning. The crash occurred at 5:20 p.m. on Friday, November 2. US 50 was closed for about 45 minutes. Deputy Sullivan was assisted at the scene by the Versailles Fire Department and First Responders, Rescue 69, Rescue 30, Versailles Police and Indiana State Police.
