ABOVE: Dana Elliott, culinary specialist from Taste of
Home, kept the crowd lively as she presented several simple,
yet elegant recipes for the holiday season at the Simply
Christmas show held last Thursday, November 8 at the South
Ripley Elementary School. The dishes were given away throughout
the show as were the numerous door prizes pictured on display.
The sold out event was sponsored by Ripley Publishing Co.
and area businesses. BOTTOM: Coming through the line getting
their goodie bags were sisters Traci Bauman and Terri Benning,
along with Belvadean Strimple. The ladies were checking
out the contents of the bag that were sponsored by area
businesses. The evening was a huge success with nearly 800
people participating. Vendor booths were set up for the
first time in the cafeteria, giving attendees more room
to browse the booths that offered free samples, chances
to win prizes and Christmas shopping opportunities.
