The Holton Town Board met on November 13 at 9:00 a.m. It was announced that the Jingle Bell Jubilee will be held on Saturday, December 1 starting at 6:00 p.m. Hoosier Hills Bluegrass will play at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Tri County Harmonizers and the Mellow Tones. Refreshments will be served.

Julie Brancamp, manager of the Ripley County Fairgrounds Park, spoke to the board regarding the Christmas Walk at the park on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. She asked if the board would purchase an inflatable Christmas figure for the event. Brancamp said a sign would be made to show it was donated by the Holton Town Board. The board gave permission to Brancamp to purchase an item and send them the bill.

Board member Wilma Myers said she had a beautiful mural scene she would like to have Toby Hunter paint on the inside of the Holton Town Hall. Hunter has already painted a scene of a train at the Holton Park and the Otter Creek Bridge at the town hall. The board gave Myers permission to go ahead with the project.

Myers also said she would like to order more playground equipment for the park so it could be in by spring. She will see what is available and bring a recommendation back to the board at its next meeting.

All three town board members were present at the meeting: Robert Furst, Wilma Myers, and Ron Palmer. Peggy Furst was present to advise the board. The next regular meeting of the Holton Town Board will be Tuesday, December 11 at 9:00 a.m. at the Holton Community Building.
