Snow began falling in some places in Ripley County after midnight Wednesday, December 5. The amount received depended on the location. Some received just a dusting, with others getting closer to the 1-2 inches predicted by weather forecasters. The above photo was taken on Monroe Street, close to the entrance of the Versailles State Park. Pictured, at right, the buffalo on the Samples farm seem to be taking the snowy weather in stride
