Gary Franklin, Sports Writer

Not to be denied to date, the Lady Eagles have continued to find a means to reach their desired end, in the new basketball season. Standing on a perfect 9-0, following their four point win over the visiting North Decatur Lady Chargers, 41-37, on Tuesday night, December 11.
The Lady Eagles led by seven entering the fourth quarter of play, and managed to hold a firm yet, diminishing lead, that is until just over a minute left on the game clock, when the Lady Chargers cut their deficit to a mere two points, at 36-38.
Stepping up to the foul line for the Lady Eagles at crunch time were the Wagner girls, Valorie and Becca.
Nothing automatic, but comforting in knowing the determination and game face they bring to many different sports for the Lady Eagles, basketball being no exception.
