SR vs JCD Varsity Match
With high expectations, the Lady Raiders traveled to JCDHS for their first match on the road, only to find disappointment at matches' end.
The Lady Eagles and Lady Raiders teams each showed unwillingness to cater to the other as the games were played out. JCD captured the first game with a 27-25 score to set the tone. In game two of the match, again JCD prevailed to a final score of 26-24.
The final game of the best of five format ended in game three when the Lady Eagles swept the contest with a 3 game to 0 win by the score of 25-22 over the Lady Raiders.

SR vs JCD JV Match
With a great start to their season, the Lady Raiders attempted to continue their winning tradition, finding much more resistance from the Lady Eagles of Jac-Cen-Del, on Friday evening, August 22, at JCDHS.
In JV competition, the Lady Raiders battled to victory in two of the three game match. Jac-Cen-Del captured the first game with a 27-25 win following a very competitive back and forth game.
The Lady Raiders return to the court found them refocused and unwilling to give in to a defeat. Again a close fought battle kept interest high, but the Lady Raiders pulled off a 25-23 win to force game three.
Game three left no less battle tactics then either of the opening two games of the match. Back and forth the teams battled for a lead with the Lady Raiders eventually capturing the match victory with a mere 15-14 win.
Great intensity by both the teams in this early season meeting should lead to more of the same as they each improve as their seasons progress.

The JV ORVC Tournament was to be played at Rising Sun on Saturday, August 23.
