The Board of Zoning Appeals approved a special exception with restrictions to allow temporary housing for employees of the REX pipeline project to Trees Mobile Home Park manager David Lattire at the meeting held on Tuesday, October 28. The special exception will allow temporary housing (RV’s) for those employees on lots already established within the mobile home park.

According to Lattire, the project is expected to take approximately three to four months, weather permitting. He requested the special exception be for 12 months, in case the project was delayed by bad weather. The board granted the special exception for only nine months, starting November 1.
In other business, Ellouise Simpson, Milan, requested a variance from the required size of a manufactured home of 950 square feet to 896 square feet. According to Planning Commission Director Tad Brinson, all adjoining property owners had been notified. The board granted the variance.
The next BZA meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 25 at 7 p.m. in the courthouse annex.
