Firemen from the Holton Volunteer Fire Department roll
up hoses after responding to this barn fire early Tuesday
morning. In the background are the remnants of a 40x40 barn
on the property of Rick and Angel Sizemore at 95 S. CR 400
W, that was completely destroyed by fire. Firemen responded
to find the structure fully engulfed a little after 5 a.m.
on July 7. Firemen from the Versailles Volunteer Fire Department
assisted. Sizemore noted he lost a new pickup truck inside,
along with numerous other items one would find in a barn,
including a riding lawn mower. No one was injured in the
blaze. The cause of the fire had not been determined at
press time.
