Progress is being made at the new location of the Versailles Fire Department in the Industrial Park located south of Versailles on US 421. Funding for the building was made possible due to grants from the Community Focus Fund, Rising Sun Regional Foundation and the Ripley County Community Foundation, along with individual donations. When completed, there will be eight bays for emergency vehicles, kitchen and storage areas, training room, office area as well as expansion for shower facilities and sleeping quarters.
