Storytelling was the theme of the day at the Napoleon Living
History Days, on August 29 and 30. Re-enactors from the
Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati told the
stories of Miss Sadie, above, and Wise John, bottom, former
slaves who found freedom using the Underground Railroad
which has ties to the town of Napoleon. "Never forget
the stories your mama told you," said Miss Sadie. Visitors
enjoyed stories throughout the weekend along with the many
booths and activities including a period dance.
