“You served our nation, so now let our nation help you,” urges Ohio County Veterans Service Officer Paul Gentrup. He along with veterans service officers from Ripley and Dearborn counties will be on hand to answer questions regarding veterans' benefits at the 1st Annual Military and Veterans Expo on Saturday, June 5 at the Milan VFW Post 6234.

There will be representatives from Congressman Baron Hill’s office to help with any questions along with other state and federal agencies such as the U.S. Veterans Benefits Administration, Indiana Department of Veterans Affair, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves, and the Army One Source.

The Mobile Health Unit will be on hand to enroll veterans. There will be military memorabilia displays, live music, free raffles and refreshments for the attendees.
Veterans will need to bring a copy of their DD-214 in order to be signed up for healthcare in the VA system.

The expo will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Milan VFW located at 1007 N. Warpath Drive at the intersection of the State Roads 350 and 101 next to the Reservation Restaurant.
