Sheriff Tom Grills, along with other officers from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, has been working with Detective Jane Noel of the Cincinnati Police Department to come up with a sketch of a suspect in a sexual assault case.

The sheriff noted that the incident that occurred January 9 reporting that a 19-year-old female had been sexually assaulted, now has a face and some information that might help them find him.

The victim met with the sketch artist last week to describe what was translated into a possible likeness of the suspect. He is described as being about 30 years old, 6’2", medium build, and was wearing a green winter toboggan style cap, a brown coat and blue jeans.

The female reported that she had stopped to assist a stranded motorist who was driving a small, older black pickup truck and was asaulted by the driver. The alleged assault occurred on Hopewell Road near the Holton area, according to information from the sheriff’s office.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office at 812-689-5555 or 689-5558.
