Annual Lawrenceburg High School varsity volleyball invitational held

Fall sporting events were numerous for the Jac-Cen-Del, Milan and South Ripley High School athletes on Saturday, September 18.
Among the scheduled events was the annual Lawrenceburg HS volleyball invitational.
The activities of the day slated eight teams including the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles and the South Ripley Lady Raiders in competition.
Tournament action
Game 1 in the main gym pitted the hosting Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers against the Madison Conoslidated Lady Cubs.
Results of the match were: Lady Tigers match winner in back to back wins of 25-21 and 25-14.
Game 1 played in the LHS auxiliary gym resulted in a South Ripley Lady Raider loss to the Greensburg Lady Pirates in back to back games by scores of 15-25 and 19-25.
Main gym game 2 pitted the Waldron Lady Mohawks against the North Decatur Lady Chargers. Winning the match after the three game set was North Decatur with game scores 15-25, 25-21 and 15-6.
Game 2 action in the aux. gym slated the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles against the Hauser Lady Jets with JCD falling in back to back games by scores of 15-25 and 13-25.
Main gym competition for Game 3 slated the hosting Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers against the North Decatur Lady Chargers. Lawrenceburg capped North Decatur in back to back games by scores of 25-14 and 25-22.
Game 3 in the aux. gym slated the Greensburg Lady Pirates against the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles. The Lady Eagles again fell in back to back games by scores of 8-25 and 15-25.
Game 4 contested in the main gym pitted the Madison Consolidated Lady Cubs against the Waldron Lady Mohawks. The Lady Cubs earned the match victory after losing the first game to Waldron 16-25 and regaining control with 25-21 and 15-10 victory scores.
Game 4 in the aux. gym pitted the Greensburg Lady Pirates against the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles where the Lady Pirates won the match in back to back games by scores of 25-8 and 25-13.
Game 5 in the main gyn found the hosting Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers the two game match winners over the Waldron Lady Mohawks by scores of 25-15 and 25-16.
Game 5 in the aux. gym found the South Ripley Lady Raiders capping the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles with back to back game wins by scores of 25-19 and 25-21.
Volleyball match action in the main gym for Game 6 resulted in the Madison Consolidated Lady Cubs rising to victory over the North Decatur Lady Chargers challenge with back to back game wins by scores of 25-20 and 25-12.
Auxiliary gym Game 6 slated the Greensburg Lady Pirates against the Hauser Lady Jets with the Lady Jets soaring back to back game wins at 25-23 and 25-15 for the match victory.
Play off round
The battle determining the 3rd and 4th place tournament finisher, contested in the main gym, found the Greensburg Lady Pirates third after capturing back to back game victories over the Madison Consolidated Lady Cubs for the match by scores of 27-25 and 25-16.
Competition for 7th and 8th place finishes was held in the auxiliary gym as the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles won the first game 25-18 over Waldron, fell to the Mohawks 16-25 and claimed the match with a final game score of 15-13 for seventh place.
The auxiliary gyms final match determined 5th and 6th place for the tournament. Competing was the South Ripley Lady Raiders and the North Decatur Lady Chargers with SR winning two of three for the match and 5th place. Scores were 25-17, 20-25 and 15-12.
Competing for the tournament championship title in the main gym were the hosting Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers and the Hauser Lady Jets.
Over a three game venue the Lady Jets pulled off the match and tournament championship victory by scores of 22-25, 25-20 and 15-12.
