Annual ORVC Fall Sport Awards banquet held at The Pines Restaurant

With an annual rotation of hosting schools among the seven team ORVC (Ohio River Valley Conference), Jac-Cen-Del, Milan, Rising Sun, Shawe Memorial, South Ripley, Southwestern Hanover and Switzerland County. This school year's sports season award programs will be under the direction of the Shawe Memorial staff, specifically, AD Travis Calvert.
The Fall Sport Awards Banquet was once again held at The Pines Restaurant in Madison, a favorite site over many years for the ceremonial meal and presentation of awards, on Wednesday, November 3.
A 6:30 p.m. opening of the meeting with a welcome by Calvert to those in attendance was followed by his giving of the blessing before the buffet style meal.
Following the meal, Calvert proceeded with the introduction and presentation of awards to coaches and individual players who had been selected by particular sport coaches as the All-ORVC team unit, Coach of the Year and the named Mental Attitude Award recipient.
