Osgood teens arrested for burglary

Two Osgood teens have been arrested in connection with a home
burglary on Delaware Road.
According to information from Sheriff Tom Grills, the incident
occurred on June 21 about 8:19 in the evening, when officers responded
to a report of a burglary in progress near Delaware.
The homeowner said he had seen two white men operating a smaller
pickup truck at his residence. He reported they went into his
garage and took some items.
The caller was able to give dispatchers a description of the men
as well as the vehicle they were driving. Sheriffs deputies
saw the suspected vehicle traveling south on County Road 300 East,
just a few miles from the residence that had previously been burglarized.
As a result of an investigation by the sheriffs office and
Ripley County Sheriffs Detective Abraham Hildebrand, both
suspects were take into custody quickly.
Andrew E. Hill, 18 and Michael A. Adams, also 18 were arrested
and taken to the Ripley County Jail where they were incarcerated
on charges of Burglary of a Structure, Class C Felony, Theft,
Class D Felony, and Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor.
Formal charges have been filed by Ripley County Prosecutor Ric
Hertel.
The incident is still under investigation by the Ripley County
Sheriffs Office, who was assisted by both the Holton and
Milan police departments.
Sheriff Grills reminds citizens to be vigilant, watch out for
themselves and their neighbors. Report any suspicious behavior
to police immediately.
