The team is led by coach Merle Hines, far right in back row. The team leaders, senior Anne Kuntz and sophomores Sarah Billingsley, Meredith Maier and Rachel Billingsley finished first - fourth.

Coach Merle Hines of the Oldenburg Academy Lady Twisters comes aglow when speaking of her Lady Twister runners, and rightly so. The team has knocked off many competitors as a unit over the years and this year's sectional run at South Dearborn HS was no different. Different only in the case that it took a sixth runner to establish their first place prestige. Not going to the sixth place to determine a winner mind you, but due to a season ending injury to one of the usual top five runners, out on crutches, the sixth runner stepped up to do what was needed to get the job done.
