Milan MIST Swim Team

The 88 member 2013 conference champion MIST swim team assembles for victory celebration and awards banquet.

The Milan Indians Swim Team (MIST) completed an undefeated season by winning their first Southeastern Indiana Swim Association (SEISA) Championship. MIST has been competing in the summer program for 37 years against teams from Batesville, Decatur County, South Dearborn, Hidden Valley, and Madison. The Indians knocked on the championship door in 2011 and 2012 finishing second to a strong Batesville swim team. Batesville had won the conference championship 14 years in a row tying a record held by South Dearborn.

The highlight of the 88 event meet was MIST swimmers capturing first place in 10 of the 20 relays competed. MIST swimmers had 45 first, 21 second, and 23 third place finishes.

Swimmers placing first in all four events that they competed in include Mckenna Bradley, Darcie Diem, Jarrod Nichols, and Dylan Thomas.

Winners of three events were Mackenzie Kent and Holly Kraemer. Joshua Clark, Noah Haessig, Cole Knecht, and Elizabeth McKittrick, all winners of two events.

Individual winners include Jacob Baugh, Riley Clark, Micheala Diem, Ariel Haessig, and Ben Hartwell.
