With last year’s senior members a thing of the past, and with a total of 17 2013-14 seniors on the squad, the Milan Indians will definitely take on a new face.

Add to that, there is the career change by former MHS Head Football Coach Ryan Langferman to the position of high school principal and the onset of a new Head Coach Ed Wagner taking the Indian lead, along with other assistant coaching changes. The recipe anxiously awaits a new lead toward an old plan, “winning!”

New uniforms, new freshmen team members, a new group as senior leaders, and a longtime traditional burning desire to do well should allow Milan Indian Football to create a face of its own.
As with most every leadership change, new ideas and new support roles follow; such is the case with some of the former assistant coaching staff.

Following the lead of new Head Coach Ed Wagner, the assistant coaching staff for 2013 includes:
Defensive Coordinator Randy Combs; assistant coaches Jeff Sharp, Mike Brandes, Bryan Beeler, Cliff Willoughby, and Daniel Craig; along with middle school coaches Jeff Stutler, Brian Owens and Rich Healy.

Support staff includes Statistician Brad Voss; video coordinators Brian Owens and Keith Copeland; along with student managers Whitney West, Vicky Cunningham, Tapanga Gauck, Kelsey Hauser, Tara Roark, Marissa Combs, and Shelbie Ramey. Ball boys include Zach West, Parker Lewis and Dakota Sams; MHS Principal Ryan Langferman, Athletic Director John Prifogle and Milan Community School Corporation Superintendent Paul Ketcham.

MHS cheer coaches are Brianna Kraushar and Kady Alloway. This year’s MHS cheerleader squad includes Lauren Thomas, Alexis Owens, Emily Fuller, Kristen Honeycutt, Sydney Ross, Cierra Core, Shelby Egbert, Kiera Hall, Shelby Wullenweber, Jessica Berger, Winona Hopson, Jessica Louden, and Morgan Meyer.
